2021 in gold letters with confetti and a graduation cap

Important information to note for the full in-person graduation on Saturday, June 26 at 10 am:

  • Seniors should arrive by 9 am to the south lot and enter the high school by the south lobby.
  • We will no longer be using a ticketed registration system, which was in place for the previous plan when the state’s outdoor capacity restrictions were still in effect.
  • Four guests per graduate are encouraged.
  • Any guests over that limit will be able to watch from the bleachers at the turf field.
  • The event will be livestreamed for families and friends to follow along in real time (details will be released next week).
  • Unvaccinated individuals will be responsible for continuing to wear a mask. The district will not be asking for proof of vaccination or a negative test.
  • For any families who are not able to attend on Saturday morning, June 26, there will be an opportunity to attend the smaller August graduation ceremony following the completion of summer school.

Thank you and we look forward to celebrating with you in person.

Due to Governor Cuomo lifting most of the remaining COVID-19 pandemic restrictions across the state including those for large outdoor gatherings, the district is able to host a full in-person graduation with the entire Class of 2021 on Saturday, June 26 at 10 am!

This year’s commencement celebrating the Class of 2021 will be held in the same location as in the past – on the west side of the high school near Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School and the new multi-purpose turf field. Per New York State guidelines, unvaccinated individuals will be responsible for continuing to wear a mask. However, the district will not be asking anyone for their proof of vaccination or a negative test. The event will still be livestreamed with a link made available in the coming days.

Additionally, the district encourages a maximum of four guests per graduate to attend. Any guests over that limit will be able to watch from the bleachers at the turf field or via the livestream from home. We will no longer be using the registration system for guests as that was when the crowds were limited by New York State of no more than 500 people. We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and patience as we continue to navigate the changes in state mandates.

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 and we look forward to celebrating with you in person!
