In addition to these fantastic displays, there were an array of different community resources, such as the Suffolk County Police Department 7th Precinct and the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, and school resources, such as WFMS psychologists and counselors, who hosted informational booths at the event.

Attendees were also treated to performances from several of the talented WFMS musical groups, including the Jazz Band, Chamber Orchestra & Select Choir, Musical Theatre, Kickline and Latin Dance. Additionally, the William Floyd High School Dance team and Latin Dance team hosted some exciting performances of their own!

On top of all of these great school displays and performances, there were no shortage of activities for attendees to participate in throughout the night! They could participate in a drone demonstration with the WFHS NJROTC cadets, play a game of nitroball, participate in inflatable axe throwing, shop from a selection of local vendors, attend a Civil War reenactment by the 67th NY Historical Association and try food from several different food trucks.

“Thanks to the vision and dedication of Mrs. Taveras and her incredible team, our building transformed into a vibrant celebration of community and creativity,” said William Floyd Middle School principal Camelle Person. “The halls echoed with laughter, while the auditorium, elevated by Mr. Dignam and his talented sound and lighting crew, felt like a state-of-the-art theater, showcasing powerful and inspiring performances.”
