Hannah Schultzer and Jordan Hua are the William Floyd High School Class of 2026 valedictorian and salutatorian.

The William Floyd School District is pleased to recognize the valedictorian and salutatorian for the William Floyd High School Class of 2026 – Hannah Schultzer and Jordan Hua, respectively.

Valedictorian Hannah Schultzer

Hannah Schultzer – Valedictorian
Valedictorian Hannah Schultzer (102.9 weighted grade point average) will be attending the University of Chicago in the fall where she will be studying psychology! While excelling in her academics, Hannah has also been heavily involved in various extracurricular activities throughout her school career.

Hannah served as the school level president of Future Business Leaders of America and earned numerous awards in competition including first place in “Business Communications” and “Insurance and Risk Management.” She also participated in the award-winning Youth & Government program and won the Fosdick-San Antonio Scholarship as a junior.

Additionally, she served as an executive board member on the Debate Club, worked on the Set Design team for plays and musicals, and was a member of the Foreign Language Honor Society. She was also ­one of just two National Merit Scholar Commended Students for this school year.

Hannah also served on the New York State Teen Tech Council, a statewide initiative launched by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul and the Clinton Foundation that places teens at the forefront of educational innovation.

Hannah attended William Floyd schools K-12 including William Floyd Elementary School and William Floyd Middle School.

Salutatorian Jordan Hua

Jordan Hua – Salutatorian
Salutatorian Jordan Hua (102.4 weighted grade point average) will be attending the University of Pennsylvania where he will be studying biology! In addition to excelling in his academics, Jordan was also involved in various extracurricular activities while working a part-time job and serving as a tutor.

At William Floyd, Jordan was a student-athlete with the varsity track and field team, earning All-League honors as one of the team’s top hurdlers. He also ran varsity cross country. He ran for the varsity team for five years and moved up to compete in winter track in eighth grade.

Jordan has served as the vice president and co-founder of the William Floyd High School National English Honor Society, and participated in the Stony Brook University Health Occupations Partnership for Excellence (HOPE) program, which mentors high school juniors and seniors about careers in healthcare and medicine.

Jordan also serves as a tutor through the high school tutoring club and has worked at Splish Splash as a lifeguard.

Jordan attended William Floyd schools K-12 including Moriches Elementary School and William Floyd Middle School.

The William Floyd High School Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 at 9:30 am, where the school community will have the opportunity to hear both of these fantastic student leaders address their fellow graduating seniors.
