It's that time of year again...grab a cup of hot chocolate, hop in your car, turn on the radio and check out the beautifully decorated homes - made convenient thanks to William Floyd Middle School general music teacher Jonathan Dignam and his LI Lights Map!

To help spread holiday cheer and encourage families to enjoy the beautiful lights that come around this time of year, Mr. Dignam, who describes this as his winter hobby, has compiled a list of the locations of the best decorated homes in Nassau and Suffolk counties! Mr. Dignam has continued the use of his easy-to-use website, which includes the lights map, spreadsheets, a submission/update form and scavenger hunts all located in one place! 

The map lists the locations of more than 600 homes that are festively decorated with houses decked out for the holidays on a user-friendly map including light shows, mega trees, animatronics, blow-ups, classic blowmolds and much more! The map also extends into New York City! The map and spreadsheet are updated multiple times daily. 

When perusing the LI Lights Map click on an icon and click the address bar at the bottom of your phone. It will then show additional information and pictures. If you find hidden gem that is not on the map, please feel free to submit it for all to see!

The LI Lights Map has amassed more than five million views, and more than 1.2 million views on the LI Lights Map Facebook page in the past two weeks alone!
