The William Floyd High School Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Michael Cordaro, has created a virtual recording of America’s national anthem, “The Star Spangled Banner,” for the greater William Floyd community to enjoy. Mr. Cordaro tasked the students with providing a clip of themselves performing their parts and he mixed them together in Audacity, an audio editing and mixing software. Even though this performance was virtual, Mr. Cordaro has been able to work with the Wind Ensemble in person in the auditorium following proper COVID-19 safety and social distancing procedures.

Members of the William Floyd High School Wind Ensemble include: Adrianna Alicea, Ana Berry Mennuti, Alexa Brinskelle, Kurtis Chamberlain, Sophia Chinea, Donovan Claire, Alaysia Cobb-Rountree, Justin Cooke, Ethan Cowan, Dorian DeLeon, Kristopher Diaz, Eric DiGiacomo, Ryan DiGiacomo, Brandon Dorsa, Jack Ferguson, Anna Foley, Thomas Francis, Cindy Garcia, Christina Girardi, Ryan Goodyear, Ian Hua, Kristin Judge, Julia Klement, Jacob LaRoche, Angeline Lewis, Benjamin Link, Marcus Marriott, Eduardo Marroquin, Michael Melecio, Jaithan Micourt, Jayde Molfetto, Rishi Patel, Joaquin Perez, Angelina Portelli, Adam Resnik, Megan Richardson, Jocelyn Rivera, Connor Rodriguez, Natalie Sandoval, Allison Sapio, Adam Schultzer, Rachel Somers, Katharine Stirber, Nohemy Taracena, Daniel Turpin, Laci Witschel and Lucas Witschel.
