medical club guests share about ambulance company volunteer opportunities

The William Floyd High School Medical Club, under the leadership of science educator Terri Randall, recently met with volunteers from Shirley Community Ambulance and Mastic Beach Ambulance Company to get a hands-on look at the inner-workings of an ambulance and to hear about volunteer opportunities. A number of ambulance volunteers, including William Floyd High School and Medical Club alumni, shared their experiences and provided students with a tour of the inside of the vehicles. Many current Medical Club members are already volunteers with the ambulance companies and those that aren’t yet were encouraged to sign up for the junior volunteer programs as a great way to gain valuable medical experience and help their community in a critical way.
