The William Floyd High School Medical Club led by science educator Terri Randall continues to make a difference in the lives of children across Long Island with the club’s yearly donation to benefit the Child Life Department at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. This year’s donation was $600, bringing the five-year total to more than $3,500.

The Child Life program supports children and their families by helping reduce the stress that pediatric patients and their families experience when faced with illness, medical procedures and unfamiliar surroundings. The program also provides therapeutic, educational and recreational activities to meet the unique emotional and developmental needs of children during their hospital stays.
