The William Floyd High School National Art Honor Society (NAHS) and the Literary Magazine club recently hosted their annual Coffee House, Living Art Display and Art Auction event! This yearly celebration of the fine arts brings together students and families from the community to witness the talent of William Floyd student-artists and musicians firsthand.
Throughout the night, attendees had the opportunity to participate in a silent auction that featured many gorgeous pieces of student-created artwork and were treated to live student performances, which included music, poetry and a living art display in which students re-created some well-known works of art! Attendees also enjoyed coffee and other refreshments in addition to having the chance to get free temporary henna tattoos, which were designed by William Floyd student-artists!

This beloved tradition is made possible due to the collaborative efforts of both the NAHS and the Literary Magazine club. The NAHS, co-advised by Erika Licausi and Fine Arts Chairperson Theresa Bianco, organized the silent auction and living art display. The Literary Magazine club, co-advised by Skylar McGarrity and Holly Mascolo, arranged the live music and poetry performances.
The event raised a total of $2,500 in scholarship funds that will be going toward seniors in both the NAHS and Literary Magazine club!
