The Business Honor Society students, seniors Shyrobi Trent, Michael Pacheco, Esmeralda Munoz Umanzor and Aracely Zhiminaicela Sanchez, conveyed the importance of graduating high school, sharing how it serves as a crucial stepping stone toward achieving their future dreams and goals. They also discussed various educational programs offered at the high school level, including numerous learning pathways and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs designed to equip students like them for future success.

Extracurricular involvement and academic diligence were also emphasized as important parts of student success, highlighting the ways in which they can create a proper balance between their studies, involvement in various activities and time with friends. Additionally, Ms. Giacalone enriched the dialogue by illustrating how students can achieve the remarkable feat of graduating high school with an associate’s degree. “We are committed to empowering young minds to envision their futures, pursue their passions and take ownership of their educational journey,” said Ms. Giacalone. “It is our hope that these talks have inspired fifth graders to dream big.”

Ms. Giacalone noted how the Business Honor Society presenters truly exemplified a spirit of leadership and mentorship at this event, helping to foster a sense of inspiration in the Woodhull students. “The event served as a powerful reminder of the impact education has on developing the leaders of tomorrow,” she added.
