William Floyd Teachers and the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library will be partnering again this summer to bring the Teachers’ Story Corner to children in our community! Story corner sessions will take place Thursdays beginning July 10 and run each Thursday through August 21! Please note that the Teachers' Story Corner will not take place on July 31.

Each year, students and families from the community are invited to the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library to experience age-appropriate read-alouds from their favorite William Floyd teachers and administrators. This annual program provides students with a fun-filled reading experience while they’re away from school and gives both the students and their families the opportunity to learn more about their local library.

The Teachers’ Story Corner will begin on Thursday, July 10, from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Library’s Main Building (407 William Floyd Parkway) and will continue every Thursday at the same time and location through Thursday, August 21 (no sessions on July 31).

Each evening will feature two sessions lasting 30 minutes each (5-5:30 pm and 5:30-6 pm) with two different William Floyd teachers hosting read-alouds each session. Attendees are welcome to stay for one story, a few stories or all of the stories! Registration is not required – just drop by!

The library staff will also be available to answer questions, help families choose books and discuss registration for library programs. The schedule of readers is listed below. We hope to see you this summer!
