Members of the William Floyd community recently came together to support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research by participating in the second consecutive “Brave the Shave” event at William Floyd Elementary School! William Floyd administrators, faculty, staff and students all volunteered to say goodbye to their hair – for now – to raise money toward the noble work being done by St. Baldrick’s! The William Floyd Elementary School students who attended the assembly were also given the opportunity to dye their hair green, get their hair braided with green ribbons and receive green hair extensions as an additional show of support! Special thanks to the William Floyd Elementary School principal Dr. Keith Fasciana, the William Floyd Elementary School community, the CTE Barbering and Cosmetology Academies and all of those who “Braved the Shave” or donated to St. Baldrick’s for helping make this event such a success! The event raised nearly $2,000 to support the fight against childhood cancer. Click here to read the full story and click the image above to see the video!
