Join the Tri-Hamlet 250 Committee for a special event celebrating William Floyd, with insights from distinguished speakers and engaging activities that highlight local history and the legacy of America's Founding Fathers.

• William Floyd Alumnus & NYSUT Second Vice-President Ron Gross will transport attendees back to the Revolutionary War era, focusing on the Mastic Peninsula and exploring the roles of founding father William Floyd and war hero General Nathaniel Woodhull.
• William Floyd Alumnus & the Suffolk County Legislature Deputy Presiding Officer Jim Mazzarella will share his perspectives on these historical figures, drawing connections to the responsibilities and challenges faced by public officials in the 21^st century.

• Participate in the Col. Josiah Smith Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution “Would You Sign?” segment, which invites you to reflect on the sacrifices and risks taken by William Floyd and his contemporaries. Consider what it means to pledge your life and honor, and then add your signature to a replica Declaration of Independence.

• Learn more about the William Floyd Estate and the rich history of the Mastic Peninsula with informational materials available at the event.
