Three William Floyd student-musicians representing William Floyd High School, William Floyd Middle School and William Paca Middle School, have been honored with selections to the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) All-County Jazz bands! These three student-musicians will have the opportunity to perform with and alongside outstanding student-musicians from across Suffolk County later this month!

Jackson Seifert, a junior at William Floyd High School, was selected to perform with the SCMEA High School All-County Jazz Band. Jackson, under the direction of Garry Helbock and Kim Hyland, is a member of the Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. He is a trombonist who is receiving All-County honors for the fourth year in a row, initially earning the recognition as an eighth grader at William Paca Middle School and each year subsequently. He also earned the SCMEA Private Study Scholarship as a freshman and was recently selected for the Julliard Pre-College Program. 

Ryan Formato, an eighth grader at William Floyd Middle School, was selected to perform with the SCMEA Middle School All-County Jazz Band. Ryan is a percussionist who is receiving All-County honors for the third consecutive year. Ryan was also a recipient of the SCMEA Private Study Scholarship as a seventh grader.

Representing William Paca Middle School as a SCMEA Jazz selection is eighth grader Emilia Biancospino. Emilia is a vocalist who is receiving All-County honors for the third consecutive year. Emilia participated in the SCMEA Day of Jazz as a seventh grader and has also starred in several musical productions at William Paca.
