Three William Floyd High School seniors – Kaelyn Green, Brandon Mott and Ben Zozarro – were selected to perform in the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Eastern Region Honors Choir held from February 25-28 in Providence, RI! Selection for the ACDA Eastern Region Conference is considered a tremendous honor for choral singers. Students earned this prestigious recognition following a rigorous audition process that included singers from 11 eastern states and the District of Columbia.

This year’s ACDA conference, “ENVISION 2026,” featured an intensive schedule of rehearsals and masterclasses. It invited participants to visualize and actively engage in creating a world that embraces choral singing as an act of humanity in a society that fully integrates choral music into culture and daily life.

ACDA is a national organization whose mission is to inspire excellence and foster lifelong engagement in choral music through education, performance, composition, and advocacy. New York is part of the Eastern Division, which also includes Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington, DC, as well as the New England states.

Congratulations to the students and their choral director Donia Rivera on this amazing honor!
