The Teachers’ Story Corner Reading program, a collaboration of William Floyd teachers and the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library, kicks off on Thursday, July 11, from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Mastic Beach branch location. Children from pre-school through sixth grade and their families from the community are invited to hear their favorite teachers read stories.
The program will be held each Thursday evening this summer through August 15 from 5-6 pm (in two half-hour reading sessions).
The first three Teachers’ Story Corners will be held at the Mastic Beach branch located at 369 Neighborhood Road on July 11, July 18 and July 25. Then, the Moriches branch, located at 201 Montauk Highway in Moriches, will host the program on August 1, August 8 and August 15.
Library staff and William Floyd School District teachers will also be available to help families choose books and sign up for library programs. Registration is not required. Just drop by! We hope to see you there!
