Francis "Frank" Campbell, former William Floyd Board of Education Trustee, Vice President and President.

The William Floyd School District is saddened to share the news of the passing of former William Floyd Board of Education Trustee Francis “Frank” Campbell who served on the School Board from 1971 to 1977 including as vice president (1972-1973) and president (1973-1977).

During his tenure, district enrollment increased, which resulted in the need for additional classroom space. Under the leadership of Mr. Campbell and his colleagues, three new schools were approved and constructed – Tangier Smith Elementary School and Moriches Elementary School, which opened its doors in 1975, and William Paca Middle School, which opened in 1976.

The William Floyd School District is grateful for Mr. Campbell’s many years of dedicated service to our schools and community, and we offer condolences to Mr. Campbell’s family and friends during this difficult time.
