It was an electrifying day at Moriches Elementary School as fourth-grade students recently welcomed Bill, a lineman with PSEG Long Island as part of their Touch-A-Truck presentation! Students learned about the importance of electrical safety and the crucial role that lineworkers have in keeping society running on a daily basis.

Lineman Bill shared the ins-and-outs of his work truck and the equipment used to deliver and restore power to homes across Long Island every day. Students also learned how to stay safe near power lines and what to do if they ever come across a downed wire. At the end of the presentation, lineman Bill answered any and all questions the children had and gave a tour around his work truck. It was an incredibly rewarding experience for all involved!
