The John S. Hobart Elementary School values the home school connection and believes that a collaborative approach to education will improve our students’ academic, social and emotional growth.  We invite the parents of our students to be active participants in their children’s education.  This partnership can be accomplished by providing the following opportunities for parents to share in their child’s education.

Student Responsibility Section

We, as students, will share the responsibility to improve our academic achievement and achieve New York State’s high standards.  Specifically, we will:

·         Do all homework in a timely manner and seek help from adults when needed.

·         Read at least 20 minutes every day outside of school time.

·         Give parents or the adult who is responsible for the child welfare all notices and information received from the school on a daily basis.
