Homecoming is set for this Saturday, September 20, as the William Floyd school community will celebrate its amazing heart and spirit! This year’s festivities include spirit week, the pep rally, dance, parade, Homecoming Court crowning and the football game as the No. 1 ranked William Floyd Colonials varsity football team takes on Brentwood at 12 pm at the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex. Please note that the Homecoming Court crowning will take place at halftime of the game.

Spirit Week is being held at the high school throughout the week, it kicked off on Monday with "Teacher/Student Swap Day," "Country vs. Country Club" on Tuesday, "Camo Print vs. Barbie" on Wednesday, "Sunset Colors" on Thursday and wearing green and white for "Floyd Friday!" Schools throughout the district are also holding their own versions of spirit week with various themes.

The Homecoming parade is scheduled to begin at 10:15 am on Saturday with a route starting at the William Floyd High School south lot and marching past William Paca Middle School and Tangier Smith Elementary School to the Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex. The parade will be followed by the opening kickoff at 12 pm as the Colonials take on Brentwood, with the Homecoming Court crowning at halftime. 

This year's Homecoming Court for the Class of 2026 includes: Jack Meyer, Jaquan Thomas, Spencer Link, Marquis Johnson, Josiah Lors, Joseph Mione, Sharod Sutton, Joseph Melecio, Peter Gilhauley, Jerry Cabrera, Madison Sicignano, Ja'Zelle Hobbs, Veronica-Sky Williams, Emma Dimaio, Angelle Sainteus, Megan DiGiacomo, Gianna Trotta, Gianna Colorio, Ava Tiedemann, Kayana Puzzele and Ciara Chicaiza.

The parade includes many school and community groups including: the Mastic Fire Department, NJROTC, Board of Education, NYS Assemblyman Joseph DeStefano, Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella, Lynvet Cheerleaders, Lynvet Football Association, WFMS Latin Dance, WFMS Kickline, WF Cheerleading, Floyd Theatre, WFHS Latin Dance Club, varsity golf team, varsity Rockettes, Tangier Smith Elementary School PTO, John S. Hobart Elementary School PTO, William Floyd United Teachers, WFHS Pep Band, WFHS 9th Grade Class Council, WFHS 10th Grade Class Council, WFHS 11th Grade Class Council, WFHS 12th Grade Class Council, and the Homecoming Court!
