Twenty first-grade art students in Sheri Schultz’s class at John S. Hobart Elementary School recently had their mosaic sunflower art projects selected for display in the aptly named AJ Sunflower Boutique clothing store in Center Moriches. In preparation for the project, Ms. Schultz had students study different parts of sunflowers to determine which material and colors would work best for their projects. The students had a great time creating their sunflowers and Ms. Schultz reached out to the owner of the boutique, who agreed to display the sunflower mosaics through the end of the fall.
