The William Floyd School District has issued updated rules and guidelines for fans attending varsity football games at Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex. The district strives to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all spectators in attendance at home games. We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and look forward to an enjoyable event for all in attendance.
Please review the updated requirements:
- All spectators must have and show a valid government identification (ID). No ID, No Entry. Examples of a valid government-issued ID include a driver’s license, non-driver ID, learner’s permit, passport, government employee ID, United States military ID, or a United States permanent resident card.
- Middle school and elementary students are not allowed into the game without an adult, and they must be supervised during the game.
- Student attendance: For all home contests, only William Floyd students and opposing team students will be allowed to attend and must provide their school ID to enter (students from neighboring districts not involved in the competition will not be permitted to attend).
- All bicycles must be locked up at entry areas as they will not be permitted near the field.
- Absolutely NO entry will be allowed after halftime. All exits after the 3rd quarter are final.
- We have a strict code of conduct policy. Any spectator who does not follow protocol will be subject to immediate removal from the game and will be banned from further contests at William Floyd.
- All bags and backpacks are subject to search if brought to the game.
All spectators (guests and William Floyd community members) are expected to behave in a manner that reflects the William Floyd High School core values. Therefore, all spectators must remain in the stands/bleachers during the game. Profanity, verbal abuse, or violent behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Spectators identified as behaving in a manner unbecoming to William Floyd core values, will be escorted off of school grounds and face possible suspension from future games. At the conclusion of games, spectators must leave school grounds immediately through exits as directed by school security and staff members. Spectators are not permitted on the field at any point during or after the game.
Again, thank you for your anticipated cooperation and we look forward to a great day of community and school pride.
