For the current school year, the district included four traditional emergency closing days or “snow days” into the calendar. So far, schools have been closed three times due to inclement weather – December 17, February 1 and February 2. The district has one more "traditional" snow day with no virtual learning that can be used to reach the four.

If the district is forced to use a fifth snow day or beyond, it will be piloting the use of an all-virtual learning day resulting in no impact on the school calendar moving forward (no loss of future vacation days), which are traditionally days with lower student attendance.
