The William Floyd varsity bowling team, under the leadership of head coach James Healey, just completed a dominant and historic undefeated season (14-0) taking home their third league title in the past four years and securing a spot in the Suffolk County Championship for the 13th consecutive season!

The team was led this season by senior Alex Ramoska who completed his high school career as one of the most decorated bowlers in William Floyd history. Alex is a six-year starter with five consecutive All-League honors (2019-2023 seasons), a three-time William Floyd most valuable player, notched 186 individual wins, two perfect 300 games, a 738-high series and a sixth-place overall finish at the 2022 County tournament. Alex will be attending Belmont Abbey College next fall with a bowling scholarship.

Alex Hope, also a senior, finished his career at William Floyd with an independent record of 134 wins and 40 losses. He is a two-time All-League player with a 285-high game and 742-high series as a Colonial. He finished 10th in the County this year at the annual individual tournament.

Brian Hodder is another senior who finished his time at William Floyd on a bright note, completing his high school career with an overall individual record of 26 wins and 6 losses and a 205-high game.

Nicholas Powers finished with a 187 average, 268-high game and a 644-high series. Jacob Gomez had a 172.3 average, a 212-high game and 588-high series. Trinity Field threw a 201-high game for the Colonials this year. Janelle Ramoska, Colin Smith, Austin Matz, Thomas Navins, Lincoln Schoefer, Dakota Maresca, and Aaron Miskine all provide future prospects to help assure that the Colonials stay atop League II moving into next season.

Good luck to the Colonials on Saturday, February 11, at the Suffolk County Championship at Bowlero in Sayville!
