Colonials' Historic Season Comes to a Close

The William Floyd boys' varsity basketball team's historic season season comes to an end today as the Colonials lose to Bay Shore by a score of 65-59 in the Suffolk County Class AAA championship game.

The student-athletes - as they have done all season - showed tremendous resilience and left it all out on the court, epitomizing William Floyd strength, heart and spirit.

Despite the result, it was a memorable season for the program as the Colonials finish with a 22-1 overall record and a second consecutive league title.

Congratulations to head coach Will Slinkosky, assistant coaches Thomas Stines and Darrell Sumpter, and the student-athletes for putting together a tremendous season.
