This year, 112 student-musicians from across the William Floyd School District were recently selected by the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) to receive All-County honors for the 2025-26 school year! SCMEA All-County brings together more than 2,000 of the most-talented student-musicians from Suffolk County in grades five through 10 to perform together in a series of concerts. This is the second consecutive year that more than 100 students were selected and the second-highest total in district history!

The William Floyd School District’s music program is having yet another successful school year, with student-musicians also earning distinct honors such as NYSSMA All-State, NYSCAME All-County, SCMEA Jazz, LISFA, and NYSBDA. This is one of the many reasons the program has earned the “Best Communities for Music Education” designation from the NAMM Foundation for each of the past three school years and nine times overall!
