112 William Floyd Student-Musicians Earn SCMEA All-County Honors

This year, 112 student-musicians from across the William Floyd School District were recently selected by the Suffolk County Music Educators’ Association (SCMEA) to receive All-County honors for the 2025-26 school year! SCMEA All-County brings together more than 2,000 of the most-talented student-musicians from Suffolk County in grades five through 10 to perform together in a series of concerts. This is the second consecutive year that more than 100 students were selected and the second-highest total in district history!

WFHS Senior Named Finalist for MYO Concerto & Vocal Competition

William Floyd High School senior Jackson Seifert has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Metropolitan Youth Orchestra (MYO) Concerto and Vocal competition! Jackson is among only 16 finalists out of 80 total applicants, and just one of four in the Instrumental Finalists Division for grades nine through 12. Jackson, who plays the trombone, will perform his competition piece tonight, February 4 at 7 pm, at St. John Episcopal Church in Cold Spring Harbor!
