Incoming kindergartners must be five years of age on or before December 1, 2026 in order to register for the upcoming school year. 

If your child is already registered in a William Floyd UPK or special education Pre-K program, you do not need to register.

Your registration will consist of a phone appointment and an email exchange of paperwork. To initiate kindergarten registrations for the 2026-2027 school year, please email CentralRegistration@wfsd.k12.ny.us and type "2026-2027 Kindergarten" in the subject line.

If updating your phone number please indicate if it is a house phone number or cell phone number. In addition, please specify if you would like us to remove an existing number.

For all elementary and middle school students:

Sign-outs are completed at the building your child attends. *For withdrawals between July 13, 2026 and August 7, 2026 when buildings are closed, please follow the directions below for high school or out-of-district placement withdrawals.

For high school or out of district placements (i.e. BOCES):

Please email CentralRegistration@wfsd.k12.ny.us and type "Withdraw" in the subject line. Please include the following information in the body of your email

Please read the website information thoroughly to learn what you will need to register. This will help you to have all the necessary documents so you are prepared when the registrar reaches out to you. 

CHECK THE DATES ON ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS

Are your utility bills current? Please be sure to submit bills that are within the last 30 days. We cannot accept outdated documents.
