Fine Arts

Welcome to the William Floyd Fine Arts Department homepage. All students are encouraged to express themselves creatively as their talents are discovered and nurtured. The opportunities made available to students in the Art, Music, Theater, and Dance programs are due to the hard work of a dedicated staff and the support of our community and district. The excellence achieved by students within the Fine Arts program is a testament of that support.

Despite the ongoing pandemic, William Floyd Elementary School found a way to continue the school’s beloved Museum Day, a fun and educational 17-year tradition that usually transforms the classrooms, hallways and gymnasium of the school into museums, laboratories and art galleries with visits from various Long Island educational institutions. So on December 18, students enjoyed – for the first time – an entirely virtual Museum Day.
