Welcome to the William Floyd School District Elementary Education Webpage. Our elementary schools consist of William Floyd Elementary, Tangier Smith Elementary, Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary, John S. Hobart Elementary, Moriches Elementary and William Floyd Learning Center. All of our elementary schools are committed to providing a high quality 21st Century education which enables students to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Shiver me timbers! On Monday, September 19, second-grade buccaneers in Mrs. McGovern, Mrs. Wingler, Mrs. Unger, Mrs. McCoy, Mrs. Romero and Mrs. Worontsoff’s classes at Tangier Smith Elementary School participated in “International Talk Like a Pirate Day,” an annual parodic holiday in which people are encouraged to talk like pirates!

Please fill out and submit the household income form to ensure continued eligibility for the district in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision free school meal program. Through this program, all William Floyd students are entitled to one free breakfast and one free lunch per school day, regardless of family income level.
