Elementary News
Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School was filled with excitement as four William Floyd High School students representing the Business Honor Society recently paid a visit to share some invaluable insights with a room full of eager fifth graders! The event, arranged by Ms. Jacqueline Giacalone, chairperson, William Floyd High School Business Department, and Ms. Leah Kiefer, a fifth-grade teacher at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School, was designed to inspire elementary school students, showing them the various pathways to success and providing them with the tools to navigate their future educational journeys through middle school and high school.
William Floyd Middle School assistant principal Dr. TJ Heintz and Tangier Smith Elementary School assistant principal Jacqueline Cabrera were both named 2024-25 Council of Administrators and Supervisors (CAS) Administrators of the Year! Each year, CAS honors outstanding public school principals, assistant principals, supervisors, directors and chairs from Nassau and Suffolk counties for their excellence, diligence, professionalism and dedication. Both Dr. Heintz and Mrs. Cabrera are being recognized for having exemplified the highest qualities of school administrative leadership, achievement, vision, innovation and collaboration with students, staff and fellow administrators within the community.
