Welcome to the William Floyd School District Elementary Education Webpage. Our elementary schools consist of William Floyd Elementary, Tangier Smith Elementary, Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary, John S. Hobart Elementary, Moriches Elementary and William Floyd Learning Center. All of our elementary schools are committed to providing a high quality 21st Century education which enables students to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Suffolk County has issued a heat advisory through Friday, June 12 at 8 pm. A heat advisory is issued when the combination of heat and humidity is expected to make it feel like 95-99° Fahrenheit for two or more consecutive days, or 100-104° for any length of time. As a result of the heat advisory, all recess and physical education classes have been and will be held indoors during the advisory period. Please note that all schools are air conditioned. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority.

Third-grade students at Moriches Elementary School recently participated in an innovative STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) lab in which they created a fully functional miniature golf course!
