The William Floyd School District, in conjunction with the William Floyd Alumni Association, has constructed and dedicated an Armed Forces Memorial to honor former William Floyd High School students who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Former William Floyd High School students who made the ultimate sacrifice are: Specialist Leslie Paul Bernstein, Specialist Thomas J. Wilwerth and Corporal Paulo Marko Pacificador.
Additionally, if you know of any former William Floyd High School students who gave their lives in battle, please submit the name of the individual and approximate year of attendance or graduation.  We would like to honor all former William Floyd High School students who have given their lives in service to our nation.  We hope that this memorial becomes a focal point in our community where current and future generations can visit and reflect upon the sacrifices made by these brave individuals and honor all who have served or are currently serving.

The memorial is located on the front lawn outside the north entrance of William Floyd High School surrounded by a brick “Path of Honor” and a “Garden of Hope.”Currently, there are nearly 600 bricks engraved with special messages of gratitude or the name of a special person, family or business. The William Floyd Alumni Association has reopened the selling of engraved bricks – only 250 more will be engraved! Act quickly before they are gone! There is no deadline to purchase a brick; however an order of at least 50 must be placed to receive the guaranteed price. If we do not have at least 50 per order, your money will be returned to you.
If you have any questions, please call Janet Gilmor at (631) 874-1549 or just print a brick order form and send it in along with your payment of $55 to: The William Floyd Alumni Association, c/o William Floyd School District – District Office, 240 Mastic Beach Road, Mastic Beach, NY 11951. Thank you for your ongoing support of our students, our schools and our community.
