Two William Floyd Middle School students , sixth grader Maggie Hua and seventh grader Abigail Mercado, recently had their art work selected for display in the 20th annual “Colors of Long Island” Art Exhibition, which ran through May 8 at the Long Island Museum of American Art, History & Carriages in Stony Brook. Maggie and Abigail’s work was featured alongside other talented students from across Long Island.
This annual student art exhibition gives talented students in grades K-12 an opportunity to show their artwork in a museum setting. Hundreds of proud parents and teachers flock to the museum each year to admire the work of these talented Long Island students, many of whom go on to study art in college.
Congratulations to the students and their teachers Tim Kosta (Maggie Hua) and Stephanie Taisler (Abigail Mercado)!
