Five William Floyd student artists have been selected to have their work displayed at the 19th annual “Colors of Long Island” Art Exhibition at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook. The students, William Floyd High School ninth graders Andrew Cerase, Chloe Dereme and Cassidy Samuelson, along with William Floyd Middle School eighth graders Victoria Lombardi and Arianna Koutrokois, will have their work featured alongside students from schools all across Long Island.
This annual student art exhibition gives talented students in grades K-12 an opportunity to show their artwork in a museum setting. Hundreds of proud parents and teachers flock to the museum each year to admire the work of these talented Long Island students, many of whom go on to study art in college.
Colors of Long Island, sponsored by Astoria Bank, will be on display from February 24 through April 16, 2017. There will be a reception for students from eastern Suffolk County on March 5, 2017 from 12-2 pm. Congratulations to the students and their teachers, Tim Kosta and Stephanie Taisler from William Floyd Middle School and Erin Almeida and Erika Licausi from William Floyd High School!
