Recently, 11th- and 12th-grade students in Stephanie McPhail’s health classes at William Floyd High School had the opportunity to discuss health and nutrition with Brooke Goldner, MD, a board certified physician in neurology and psychiatry who is also certified in plant-based nutrition. As a best-selling author and world-renowned depression, anxiety and trauma specialist, Dr. Goldner shared her story of how she was able to heal her own body from lupus through a plant-based diet. She answered questions from students and staff and also provided an opportunity for them to visit her website for more information and the opportunity to join a free and informative Facebook group. She is currently working with NYU on a large clinical trial using the healing nutrition protocol that reversed her lupus and has also healed her clients and patients from around the world.
In her book, “Goodbye Lupus: How a Medical Doctor Healed Herself Naturally With Supermarket Foods,” Dr. Goldner shares her personal story of the pain of her illness and her miraculous recovery, and “how she discovered the simple yet powerful way to help the human body heal through proper nourishment.” Dr. Goldner is also featured in a new documentary, “Eating You Alive,” currently in select theaters, revealing the truth behind why Americans are sick and what can be done to remedy that, along with actor Samuel L. Jackson, director James Cameron and others.
