Two William Floyd graduates and standout lacrosse players, Jackie Andersen (’11) and Luke Miller (’11) have continued their amazing athletic careers at the collegiate level where both have been selected as the Division II Preseason Player of the Year for the women’s and men’s divisions!
Jackie Andersen, who is Division II’s leading returner in points playing for the Dowling College Golden Lions, is described in the Lacrosse Magazine article as having “one of the most accomplished careers in Dowling women’s lacrosse history.”
Luke Miller, who plays attack for the NYIT Bears, posted an 84-point season during his sophomore year earning himself first-team All-American honors; and followed that up with 85 points in his junior year and another All-American selection. Now in his senior year, he is vying for a national championship.
