Garett Leskowitz (Class of 1984) graduated from MIT and earned his PhD in chemical physics at CalTech. He is a well-published researcher and Professor of Chemistry at the
Frank Coraci (Class of 1984) graduated from NYU and has become a successful film director. He has directed the movies; Click, Waterboy, Wedding Singer, and Around the World in 80 Days. Mr. Coraci also makes cameo appearances as an actor in his films. He currently has 2 film projects in the works which are expected to be released within the next 2 years.
John Thaler (Class of 1993) John Thaler is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of JAT Capital Management, a long/short equity hedge fund based in New York City. Mr. Thaler is a William Floyd High School graduate from the class of 1993. After graduating from William Floyd, he attended the University of Chicago where he earned a BA in Economics. Upon graduating from college, Mr. Thaler embarked on a career in finance, starting in the Investment Banking division of Merrill Lynch in New York City. Mr. Thaler left Merrill Lynch to become an Associate in the Boston office of Spectrum Equity Investors, a Telecom, Media and Technology-focused private equity firm. After two and ½ years in Boston, Mr. Thaler returned to the New York area to become a pre-launch member of the team at Shumway Capital Partners, a long/short equity hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT. Mr. Thaler left Shumway Capital after five years to launch JAT Capital Management, which he continues to run today.
